Festival de La Roque-d'Anthéron 2026

The Festival de La Roque-d'Anthéron 2026 celebrates the piano in one of the most enchanting settings in Europe, inviting audiences to experience exceptional artistry beneath the centuries-old plane trees of the Parc du Château de Florans in Provence. From 16 July to 16 August 2026, this internationally renowned festival transforms a peaceful corner of southern France into a meeting place for the world's finest pianists, distinguished orchestras, and rising musical talents.

Programme
Overview

This program is one of those that makes for the most memorable evenings of the festival, where a multitude of other instruments and artists of rare talent gather around the king of instruments.

Adèle Charvet, luminous mezzo-soprano and the only voice this season to grace the stage of La Roque d'Anthéron; Edgar Moreau, prodigy of the French cello; Emmanuel Pahud, the greatest representative of his instrument and, for the first time, on the stage of Parc de Florans… a constellation of talent surrounding the two pianists of this evening: Jean-Frédéric Neuburger and Cédric Tiberghien.

"Jean-Frédéric Neuburger: Combining intelligent construction, metaphysical power, and supernatural virtuosity, the pianist delivered an anthology-worthy performance." Bachtrack.

"Cédric Tiberghien: Each piece was a gem. A recital as delightful as it was ingenious and enlightening… "Seen and Heard International

"Adèle Charvet: A joyful, luminous exactingness, like herself, which she applies to everything she touches." Le Figaro

"Clémence de Forceville: A remarkable violinist, playing with virtuosity and refinement." Daniel Barenboim

"Liya Petrova: A magnificent, mature, and silvery sound, with phrasing of majestic breadth." Sunday Times

"Lise Berthaud: A musician of rare poetic intensity." Diapason

"Victor Julien-Laferrière: Ardent expressiveness, of rare eloquence." Classicnews

"Edgar Moreau: He delivers a performance of great finesse and profound feeling." BBC Magazine

"Emmanuel Pahud: With its rich tones in the lower register, a stunning projection, and absolute control in the upper register, Emmanuel Pahud's flute is nothing short of enchanting." - ResMusica

"Elizaveta Ivanova: One of the great flautists of her generation." BBC Magazine

"Nicolas Baldeyrou: Her inexhaustible breath and palette of colors are marvelous." Classica
