The programme brings together masterpieces by Schubert, Chopin, Ravel, Debussy and Shostakovich at Teatro dei Vigilanti “Renato Cioni” in Portoferraio.

 

Martha Argerich and Friends brings together one of the world’s most celebrated pianists, Martha Argerich, and an outstanding ensemble of international musicians for a special evening of chamber music at Teatro dei Vigilanti “Renato Cioni” in Portoferraio.

The programme explores the richness of the chamber repertoire, moving from the expressive lyricism of Schubert and the virtuosity of Chopin to Ravel’s enchanting Mother Goose, Schubert’s monumental Fantasy for Piano Four Hands, Debussy’s intimate Cello Sonata and the dramatic intensity of Shostakovich’s Piano Trio No. 2.

Joining Martha Argerich are pianists Georgijs Osokins and David Chen Sverdlov, violinist Michael Guttman and cellist Jing Zhao. Together, they create an exceptional musical encounter combining virtuosity, sensitivity and the distinctive artistry of some of today’s leading performers.
