About
David Schultheiß, born in Ludwigshafen, studied with Franz Sykora, Edith Peinemann and Christoph Poppen.
Since 2009 he is First Concertmaster of the Bavarian State Orchestra. Earlier concertmaster engagements led him to the Folkwang Kammerorchester Essen and the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn. In addition to solo performances with, among others, the Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz and the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, he has performed as a star of the Amira Quartet throughout Europe at festivals; He also performs as a chamber musician with Ulf Rodenhäuser, Hariolf Schlichtig and Martin Spangenberg.
