Violinist Itzhak Perlman enjoys superstar status rarely afforded a classical musician.
Perlman has appeared with every major orchestra and in recitals and festivals around the world. He also is a frequent presence on the conductor’s podium with such major orchestras as the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, Concertgebouw Orchestra and the London Philharmonic. His recordings have garnered 15 Grammy Awards. Mr. Perlman was honored in 2008 with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for excellence in the recording arts.
