Overview

Cello virtuoso with inner radiance

In the 2023/24 season, Anastasia Kobekina made her debut with the renowned Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich under the baton of Paavo Järvi. In the summer of 2024, both the orchestra and the cellist performed several times at the Rheingau Music Festival – but never in a joint concert. Now, in 2026, the prestigious ensemble and the celebrated soloist – our featured artist from 2024 – will share the stage in an exclusive concert at the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden. The program includes Edward Elgar's emotional and multifaceted Cello Concerto in E minor, a work in the best possible hands with Anastasia Kobekina and her brilliant playing, as well as her interpretations illuminated by strong intellect and sensitive emotion. Equally in the best hands is Ludwig van Beethoven's Seventh Symphony with the Tonhalle Orchestra and its chief conductor, who will bring the concert evening to a magnificent close with this work.
